What is Unity In The Community?
Unity in the community is a charity based organization located in the Durham Region
Our objective is to reach out to our communities, residents and local businesses within them.
Making our community more active and a better place to live, getting people out to participate in events, volunteering or just out for the day to have some fun.
We believe that unity is strength and strength is in numbers, that being said….
Our mission was to put this organization together and create this facebook group to reach out people who want to help out and give back to these communities.
As you all know the government doesn’t have too much of a budget for summer day camps and after school programs or even the man power to run them.
There is a lot of communities in our neighborhoods that are in desperate need of some attention, a lot of recreational areas in these communities have either been torn down or vandalized and left as empty fields.
We need to come together as a unit to make a change and implement programs in our communities to getting the youth and within them involved in positive activities.
