Former Karate World Champion Clint Cora to provide an inspirational talk called 'The Life Champion in You'

PICKERING, ON. January 29, 2010 -- Pickering Powerhouse Toastmasters invites the general public to their Open House Tuesday, February 9th at 6:30pm at Dunbarton High School, 655 Sheppard Ave. just West of Whites Road, Pickering.

“We are pleased to welcome the community to experience what Toastmasters has to offer,” said Kathy Boyle, President, Pickering Powerhouse Toastmasters. “With our open house, people learn valuable lessons from both Toastmasters and our guest of honor, former Karate World Champion, Mr. Clint Cora.' Mr. Clint Cora has endured the hardship of his mother's suicide, but has since risen to become a Karate world champion, completed his MBA and led a successful career as a National Sales Manager in the Pharmaceutical Sales industry. The Pickering Powerhouse Toastmasters club started in 1995 and has served the community for nearly fifteen years. Founded in 1924, Toastmasters is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to teaching public speaking and leadership skills.

Pickering Powerhouse Toastmasters meets every Tuesday at 6:45pm at Parkway Retirement Residence, 1645 Pickering Parkway, Pickering.
